1.
Do I really love you for who you are Or who I want you to be? Have these preconceptions gone too far Till they wind up deceiving me? 'Cause I see through our facade And you see us for who we really are Chorus: When the newness wears off And your patience grows thin, Can we try to start again? I ask myself and God above 'Cause I choose you and I choose to love Has the magic started to wear off? (A division so deep we can’t make amends) Have we really used up all of our love To where we can no longer be friends? 'Cause I see through our facade And you see us for who we really are Repeat chorus
2.
Be Still 03:37
In a world that’s always changing One thing remains true Even as our beauty fades There’ll always be beauty in you Chorus: We’re running just to keep time Working so hard to sur-vive Moments take us where you will So we can close our eyes and be still Close our eyes and be still As the world turns, seasons change, Keep things fresh and new Just like seasons, so must we To keep our love always in view Chorus: We’re all human and broken Only with love are we healed We’re freed from early burdens So the next world can be revealed Chorus:
3.
The Divide 03:12
When I wake up in the morning Tired of the face I see I only see the faults In the mirror staring back at me While I know that I’m not perfect, I’m trying hard to be A man in your image Chorus: I’m reaching out to you I can almost be the good you see in me If I let go of my pride You’ll heal the divide that cuts me inside It’s so hard to pass the test When the answer's right in front of me It’s so hard to be good When that’s not the only part you see This is my confession Of all the unlearned lessons I’m trying now to learn Repeat Chorus:
4.
Common Sense 04:50
It ain’t practical, it ain’t logical But it’s something that I can’t do without It takes sacrifice to keep it in my life Yet it’s something I can’t do without I can’t fight this feeling it’s too intense Love runs counter to common sense It ain’t tangible, yet it’s reachable And it’s something I can’t do without It ain’t compartmental, yet it’s essential It’s always something I can’t do without I can’t shake this feeling it’s too intense Faith runs counter to common sense Oh common sense, You’re supposed to come with experience Now I’m older and no more the wise Oh common sense, I’m speaking with absolute confidence These are the things That bring meaning to my life
5.
Ghost 04:40
It's stranger to me now These things we let time allow Makes it harder to accept How we let these wounds simply manifest Chorus: You were in my heart Now you pass through me like a ghost You were in my soul Now you pass through me like a ghost You were someone oh that I loved most Now you pass through me like a ghost The chase is such a thrill As the embers fade against our will A life in stasis Has become so commonplace Chorus: Bridge: Our lives are not our own We are bound to each other You were someone oh that I loved most Now you pass through me like a ghost
6.
When my thickest skin is wearing thin I‘ve gone all threadbare from within When I drop the shield of disguise You’re only seeing what I let you see through my eyes Chorus: You might think you know my heart Perhaps you’ve found the place to start Maybe you think you see my point of view But you read the lines then come in off cue And you might think you know my heart As I have never known you When our love is just implied, Everything that we had died A blanket of safety for a time Is not a talisman for the storms on the rise Repeat chorus BRIDGE Sha-la-la-la-la ... If you see beyond this mess of me The beauty in the ugly underneath If I let you get the best of me We could drink a toast to my defeat Repeat chorus
7.
Will I 06:21
It’s raining on a Thursday Maybe it‘s rained your entire life With so much love to give each other Let’s not bury our hearts in spite When the weight of the world is upon your shoulders And it leaves you feeling down It may seem reckless to give your heart away, But you’ll never be lonely as long as I’m around Chorus: Sometimes love don’t come easy And sometimes it comes fast I tell you now what I feel is true, Let’s leave the bitterness in the past We need healing answers to things that take time When it’s time to respond a solution we’ll find... Will I I could give until I bleed On this spinning wheel of time I could spread myself so completely thin Until there is nothing left that’s mine I could sell myself for almost anything When I don’t know what I believe Then you come and reveal yourself In spite of all my greed Repeat chorus: BRIDGE: I could have the world, But what would I do with it? Maybe I already do And it’s just something I can’t admit Something I can’t admit We’re all starving for the truth Mixed with the lies on the cutting room floor We’re all reaching through the darkness Calling your name we must implore For these things that time cannot kill, For these things that earth cannot age We’re no longer wrapped inside of ourselves We’re finally freed from our cage Repeat chorus:
8.
Understated 03:03
I’m getting down to the essence of you I want to know the sum of all your parts You’re getting down to that part of me too That’s where the complicated part starts Chorus: Maybe I’m starting out in earnest In my perpetual pursuit of purpose This feeling won’t be left unabated When lies are so real, And the truth so understated, yeah I’ve been looking for self satisfaction But temptation made me feel more alone By compromising myself in all these empty actions And try as I might there’s no way to atone Repeat chorus:
9.
Would You? 04:30
If my world was built on soft sand Would you wreck me with a flood? If my sins screamed out against you Would you drown me in your blood? Would you trip me up with mercy If I danced about in my lies? With death strip me naked, peel off the layers of my disguise? Would you make me wholly acceptable, An unholy wretch like me? Let your blessings come in spite of myself And its own self-seeking needs? And would you love me dearly, Let me be a son of yours? Let me come to be completely known Not just someone who everyone ignores? Bridge: And when the earth has passed away Will you draw me to your side/ I’ll crucify my empty heart at last And in your loving fullness I will abide So tell me you’ll love me dearly Let me be a son of yours Though by no means do I deserve it, The chance you offer to be reborn And tell me we’ll dance together there At that feast of greatest joy Tell me everyone will partake of the love That you so graciously, You so graciously, Oh that you so graciously employ

The Tracks 05:07
With constancy as my loyal friend, There’s no Judas in our midst We’d watch those trains go rolling by As the secrets would begin Let it be known as the truth beholds, Confess our sins to the wind Chorus: So let us go to the tracks, Talk of love and we’ll find our way back We talked about Life, the universe, and everything Hey, I know why the caged bird sings And why the grass is green Cause we all had something to share The price you pay and the cross you bare Sometimes we talk so much and say so very little I guess some things are better left unsaid Than words can ever say at all This was our summer home in the woods, We’d find a new home in the fall Repeat chorus: Bridge: During this quiet hour I’ve felt your power When throwing rocks in a stream, I felt redeemed Sometimes the things I hear, I turn around And you are near Outro: Oh the river runs...
